Anupama Shrestha:

Dr. Anupama Shrestha received a Ph.D. in Plant Pathology from Kangwon National University, Republic of Korea (2012). She was awarded with Korea Research Foundation for her Masters and Ph.D. from the Government of the Republic of Korea. Her research area includes bacteriology, mycology, plant-microbe interaction, molecular biology, bacterial genetics, biological control and sustainable agriculture. Dr. Shrestha worked as Research Professor at the Institute of Life Sciences and Biotechnology, Korea University and Postdoctoral fellow at Division of Biotechnology, Chonbuk National University, Republic of Korea. Dr. Shrestha conducted her researches on plant microbe interaction and biological control of plant diseases. Dr. Shrestha is also an Adjunct Professor at Himalayan College of Agricultural Science and Technology (HICAST) since 2018. She has published several research papers, manuals in national and international journals. 

Moreover, she is also member of Biotechnology Society of Nepal, Organization for Women in Science for the developing world, Executive member at Nepal Multipropose Agricultural cocoperative Scociety ( NEMACOL).

Shyam Sundar Shrestha:

Mr. Shyam Sundar Shrestha completed his Masters of Natural Resources Planning and Management from Asian Institute of Technology, Thailand in in 1996. Mr. Shrestha has 30 years long experience in soils conservation and watershed management and served as under-secretary for 12 years under the Ministry of Forest and Environment. Mr. Shrestha has developed different techniques for the watershed management of soil which helped in the improvement of livelihood of community. He is also environmental activist advocating rooftop farming. He has published many articles, books and research paper. He will be supervising the institute publications, research proposals.

Anusha Shrestha:

Dr. Anusha Shrestha is a postdoctoral scholar in the School of Environment and Natural Resources at Ohio State University, United States. She completed her Ph.D. in Forest Resources from the Department of Forestry at Mississippi State University, her M.S. in Forest Resources from the University of Arkansas at Monticello, and her B.Sc. in Forestry from Tribhuvan University, Nepal. Her research interests include the use of econometric and geospatial methods in studying various forestry stakeholders: their perceptions and behavior. She is also interested in the valuation of nonmarket goods and services provided by forests, economic impact analysis of forestry-related activities, and forest fuel management.

Shashi Shah:

Mr. Shashi Shah completed his Masters of Business Administration from Saraswoti Multiple Campus in 1992. Mr. Shah holds multiple degrees in Bachelor of Law, (B.L.) 1993 and Bachelor of Education (B. Ed) 1993. He has 24 years of experience in social and community development programs. Mr. Shah is currently involved as regional manager for the USAID’s early grade reading p rogram Mr. Shah has implemented different projects successfully in community level as far as Karnali district. Mr. Shah is legal advisor and vice president of Raluka sewa samaj, Nuwakot. He is affiliated in different NGOs as legal advisor. He has an experience of advocacy in Nepalese courts in different cases.

Dr. Jitendra Upadhyaya:

Dr. Jitendra Upadhyaya is Youth Leader, Academician and Social Activist. He received his Ph.D. (2016) in Food Science and Technology from Chonbuk National University, Republic of Korea. He received M. Sc. in Food Technology from Moscow State University of Applied Biotechnology, Moscow, Russia, and a Master of Public Health from Northern University Bangladesh, Dhaka, Bangladesh. His research area includes natural products, food technology, and analytical chemistry. Dr. Upadhyaya is a Visiting Professor at McGill University, Montreal, Canada. He worked as visiting Faculty at Kathmandu University and a Scientist at Nepal Academy of Science and Technology Lalitpur, Nepal. His research works collaborate with the American, Canadian, Chinese Nepalese and Korean groups till date and its expanding more. Further, he has been invited and participated in more than 30 national and international conferences and workshops in the capacity of advisory committee member, organizing committee member and invited speaker. He has published around 18research articles in international journals and holds one Korean patent.

Moreover, he is Member of The International Leadership Association, USA, International Public Policy Association, France, Nepal Biotechnology Society of Nepal, and Fund  Raising Advisor in Global Humanitarian Aid, Toronto, Canada.

Dr. Palanviel Velmurugan

Dr. Palanviel Vemurugan is Professor at Centre for materials Engineering and Regenerative medicine, Bharath Institute of Higher Education and Research (BIHER), Chennai with a brilliant academic carrier specializing in Environmental Microbiology, Nanobiotechnology and Biotechnology. He received his Ph.D. from Bharathiar University, Coimbatore in 2008. He has seven years of overseas Postdoctoral research experience as a PDF from 5/01/2009 to 30/12/2010 and as Research Professor from 23/08/2013 to 30/12/2017 at the Department of Biotechnology, Advanced Institute of Environment and Bioscience, Jeonbuk National University, South Korea. Further, he has 3 years of teaching experience as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Biotechnology at Selvamm Arts and Science college, Namakkal and the Department of Microbiology at Sri Sankara Arts and Science College, Kanchipuram. He has impressed me as a very hard-working and enthusiastic researcher and teacher. He is very systematic in his approach. He has high perseverance and earnestness in his research and teaching assignments.

As his research credit, he has already published more than 98 articles in SCI/SCIE/SCOPUS journals such as the Journal of Hazardous Materials and Carbohydrate Polymers with good impact factors. His cumulative impact factor is 114.832, citation index-1627, Scopus h-index-32 and i10-index is-40, google scholar h-index is-38 and i10-index-38. Speaking about his research tenure, further, he has come across various credits as a Technical Assistant (PWD Project), DRDO-Junior Research Fellow (JRF) and Senior Research Fellow (SRF) from the Council of Industrial Research (CSIR) New Delhi, India.

Roshan Kumar Sharma:

Mr. Roshan Kumar completed his master’s in business studies in 2014 from Shanker Dev College. He has 8 years of experience in business administration. His responsibility involves developing budgets, monitoring transactions, and preparing financial reports. He worked as an Administrative Officer at Applied Biotech Tools Pvt. Ltd, Kathmandu.

Ashesh Shrestha:

Mr. Ashesh Shrestha is an editor and web engineer. His fondness to develop softwares and blogging make him much more delight than anything else. Also the Tech Enthusiast, Self-Learner, Motivated, Inspired, Passionate for coding, enjoy designing and an author & editor at Appslova. Currently he is the registered member of IMIS(Institute for the Management of Information System) and BCS (British Computer Society). Ashesh mostly do Programming, Blogging and Designing. Anamika Shah:

Ms. Anamika Shah is a Researcher at RIAAS. She completed her B.Sc. (Hons) Agriculture at Himalayan College of Agricultural Sciences and Technology. Her research interests are plant protection, entomology, and IPM. She conducted research on ‘Study on disease occurrence and pesticides used among commercial tomato growers of Kathmandu Valley’. Currently she is involved in different research activity at RIAAS.

Neelam Limbu:

Ms. Neelam Limbu is an intern at RIAAS. She is currently a final year student of B.Sc. (Hons) Agriculture at Himalayan College of Agricultural Sciences and Technology. Her research interests are plant protection, entomology, and IPM. Currently she is involved in different research activity at RIAAS.
